4: The Story of Zongo, A NY Police brutality case

Ousmane Zongo was a 43-year-old arts trader from Burkina Faso who was shot and killed by a New York City police officer during a warehouse raid in 2003.

Ousmane Zongo’s friends described him to be a calm, polite man who worked diligently to send money to his Burkina Faso-based wife Sali Mata Sanfo and their two little children. The couple had a 3-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son.
