One of the most taunting events that have plagued Nigeria in the past years is the issue of police brutality.
Every day, we are faced with one case of murder or another and the government has refused to speak up on this issue nor take any meaningful step. Many of our young ones have fallen prey to the police and just a handful have lived to narrate their encounter.
In this episode, I’ll be sharing the story of Mrs Ukamaka Obasi, who was unfortunate to have an indirect, yet direct encounter with the brutal police force and SARS. This is because she has felt the impact of police brutality, losing all three of her children in the process.
Mrs Obasi distraughtly and painfully recounts her experiences and the events that led to the deaths of her three children, leaving her childless and nearly husbandless.
